At the weekend there was a small Quilt exhibition in Rolleston-on-Dove a small village close to where I live.
It was a nice little show in the local church, with a good attendance with lots of quilters that I have not met before which was nice.
There was approximately 40 quilt on display along with lots of cushions, bags and a good variety of other quilted items.
I was asked to go along as a vendor, the big decision what fabrics do I want to sell from my stash, after 2 days I had decided which to take and they did sell. Houston here I come to stock my stash or my collection as Ricky Tims would say.
I exhibited 2 quilts and a wall hanging. I also managed to sell a Civil War Quilt that I had not long finished so I was pleased with that sale.
I was introduced to an events manager from a venue in Burton-on-Trent she asked if I could help organise a quilt exhibition for 2016, along with having a list of 65 names of ladies wanting to do classes, to start in January 2015, not sure where I will find the time.
As I mentioned I am off to Houston in a few weeks, I will keep you updated on my visit to the International Quilt Show.
