I am now back after a brilliant tour to Sister’ Outdoor Quilt Show in Oregon. We stayed a few days in Portland where we visited some great quilt shops.
Our itinerary consisted of lots of different places to visit, one day we were up in the mountains at Mount Hood where we walked in the snow, next day we were at Cannon Beach where we paddled in the sea which was colder than the snow!!!
At the weekend we moved on to the town of Sister’s in Bend to see the quilts that were displayed on shop fronts, sides of buildings anywhere a quilt could be hanged. We visited the “Stitchin Post” quilt shop that had lots of quilts displayed in the shop, along with lots of patterns, books and of course some nice fabrics.
Before I left for Oregon, I went to pick up a couple of quilts that I had taken to “Quilter’s Trading Post” to be machine quilted, I was very pleased with how they had been quilted, the designs and the finish of my quilts. I do still have more UFO’s that need to be quilted, so I can see I will have to make another visit to the shop soon. Normally I would do them myself by hand but it takes so long, at least they will be finished once I have the binding on.
My next project is a week’s holiday with my family in France, my granddaughter wants to sew some squares together for her dolls, so that means I will not get much sewing done.
That’s it until next time —
