Well, the year seems to have passed by quickly again. Hope you had a good summer and are now ready for the winter months – cold days and early nights ideal for getting lots of quilting done!!
My last trip was to “Houston Quilt Festival” in October, I changed this tour slightly this year as we flew into San Antonio and had 3 days there. We visited quilt shops, where one of the shops had built a house next to the shop for retreats, which was really nice I could imagine having a few days there before a tour to Houston. I am going to see if I can get a group together for 2016 to tag on to the Houston tour. While learning about the Alamo Phil Collins was in town, he was there to donate his collection of Alamo artefacts back to the town of San Antonio, it gave us chance for a photo shoot. We then made our way to Houston stopping at “The Texas Quilt Museum”. Then it was “here we come Quilt show”, it is such a large show you do need four days to come and go with lots of Quilts to see and lots of vendors to visit. The last two days of the tour we slowed down, visited the Space Centre, Old Town Springs along with a couple of other quilt shops before coming home.
New Tours for 2015.
I am looking at organising a couple of new tours for 2015 – 2016. Perhaps trying something different!!
On the Paducah Tour and Oregon, we will again join American Quilters, we enjoy their company learning different things from them, and they also enjoy our company along with our different accents!!
If you have any queries or want more information on my tours please contact me. I look forward to perhaps meeting you on one of my tours in the future.
Thank you for your support I really appreciate it.
Best wishes for the festive season.
